Fashion for Future: Connecting Fashion’s Innovators

The “IDE 2025 – Fashion for Future” event, held in Monopoli from September 3rd to 5th, 2025, served as a unique forum where university research, technological innovation, and industry convened to outline a new, responsible, and sustainable evolution of the fashion supply chain . These challenges range from the digitalization of production processes and the management of corporate legacy systems to regulatory and environmental sustainability dictated by Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), and the enhancement of new data-driven and AI-centric solutions for future competitiveness .

A central focus of the event was the relaunch of an integrated and scalable industrial model capable of reducing waste, optimizing costs and processes, enabling the rapid launch of collections, and consolidating a unified database for commercial and marketing initiatives . The emphasis on national and international best practices, circular economy, and strategies like upcycling, blockchain, digital twin, and Human Centricity indicates a clear direction towards resilience and the enhancement of human capital in the Italian and European fashion industry.
